Q: Home Sharing not sharing with Apple TV?

Is your home sharing in iTunes not connecting to your Apple TV?

1) Do you have a mac? if yes, continue to 2.

2) Do you have McAfee on your mac? if yes, go to 3.

3) Open McAfee Internet Security Preferences > go to Firewall tab > Select Network Connections > Select connection on left section > In the right section, under TYPE change to HOME or WORK.

This should solve your problem with connecting to other devices and/or Apple TV.

The problem and solution existed, on the Internet, with a detailed explanation. You may not need it, with your "home" and "office" settings "solution" but those may find the firewall ports helpful as it gets into the details of what poarts need to be open for the functionality to work.

I recommend most to avoid McAfee as Mac OS X has excellent protection already.
