Rocketfish RF-MAB2 headphones and Apple TV

I am trying to pair my RocketFish RF-MAB 2 bluetooth headphones to my Apple TV 4th Gen

I have never had a problem pairing these with any unit before.

On the apple TV when I go to bluetooth and other devices, it shows it correctly, but what happens is I try to pair them, it quickly puts up a 4 digit PIN and then says it could not pair and I should make sure the device is on and close to the apple tv

The PIN on these headphones is always 0000 so I'm not sure why it's generating something.

Anyone have any luck getting these to work?
