You will need to use the original Snow Leopard installation disks that came with your MBP to erase the HDD and install 10.6.

Dec 24, 2015 1:17 PM in response to WMcPhailby OGELTHORPE,Not if you want to set it as it was the day it was purchased new,. Duplicate disks may be ordered from Apple Customer Service. They will require the serial number of the MBP (on the back) and there is a fee.
