Dec 24, 2015 7:40 PM in response to JessGold29by Lyssa,Are both iPads running 9.2? Was either of them updated prior to connecting it to the Mac?
iOS 9 requires iTunes 12, which in turn requires OS X 10.8.5.
I've heard that iOS devices updated over the air from iOS 7 or iOS 8 to iOS 9 will work fine with a Mac using an older version of iTunes. That would be the only explanation I can think of for why one works and one does not.

Dec 24, 2015 8:16 PM in response to JessGold29by Lyssa,You have to upgrade OS X on your Mac if you want to use iTunes.
See here for more information on upgrading: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201475
I don't know of any way around this issue, other than upgrading the Mac to a newer version of OS X.
