New iPad air...need help!

I have just been given an iPad Air for Christmas. Is it possible to transfer everything from my iMac to the iPad using the USB cord that came with it?

If not, is the process one of re-registering in all the programs, i.e. emails, iTunes, Facebook, etc ?

Thanks for any suggestions...

Depending on what you want to transfer from the iMac to the iPad you could use the included USB cord. This would be needed for syncing photos from the Mac to the iPad if you wanted to do that. Not everything on your Mac is able to be transferred to the iPad.

To get you email on the iPad you go to settings>mail, contacts, and calendars and add the account. You could also use the app store to download the mail app of the provider you use. The same goes for Facebook.

Music can be managed from the iMac or direct on the iPad. Move content from iTunes on your computer to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
