Q: How do you sync ipod touch / ipad mini from Windows 10 Outlook 2016 for contacts and calendars?

I just upgraded my pc to Windows 10 and Outlook 2016. 

All my contacts and calendars are in Outlook so I would like to sync with my ipod touch and also my wife's ipad mini. 

At first only the calendars but now only the contacts will sync;-(

I am far from only one and programs / apps I see do not work both directions.
