Formatted my iPod Shuffle

Hello! I am using a iMac El Capitan. I have formatted my iPod Shuffle by mistake. Everything is gone!! I have tried restoring it through me iTunes but it just gives me an error code: 1429.

The software is also gone. How can I restore the software?? Or can I reset the device some how??

I know that this post is already on the forums, but those other posts did not help me. Can you guys please help me get through this? I got it as a gift for Christmas.

Please guys, I am panicking!!

Not sure how you can do it "by mistake." If you did it with a Mac, you'd have to use Disk Utility and specifically Erase it.

The problem may be the disk format. If you used Disk Utility to erase the shuffle, the default setting formats it for Mac. An iPod shuffle is always formatted using the Windows "FAT32" disk format, whether it is used with a Mac or Windows PC. So, what I would try is using Disk Utility to erase it again. This time, set Format to MS-DOS (FAT). For Scheme, I'm not sure, but use Master Boot Record. Name does not matter.

When it completes, quit Disk Utility and launch iTunes. Try to do a Restore again in iTunes.
