HP LaserJet P1006 / P1005 / P1500 series with Windows 10
I have a faithful HP P1005 printer attached to my iMac and wanted to use it from a PC through the local area network.
Bonjour finds it fine, but when it comes to selecting the printer name in the huge list of models, it is nowhere to be found.
I post here the model to select, as a service to the community :
HP LaserJet A4/Letter PS Class Driver
It now works like a breeze, and I suspect this may solve the issue for the other printers of the same family listed as title, since that is how they are grouped on the HP site for the driver.
I had to deal with irrelevant answers throughout HP forums and never found anything useful. I downloaded their new driver but it is apparently ony for printers attached to the PC directly by a USB cable. Here, the only relevant question is HP LaserJet P1006 / P1005 / P1500 series but it had no solution.
So, this is an answer in response to my own question I share here. Hope this helps.
