Q: I need assistance in backing up my iPad mini to iCloud.

I nave never experienced a problem with iPad mini backup to iCloud until a few months ago. The backup runs smoothly until what should be a "Backed up successfully to iCloud" but instead I received "Unknown Error."

I made genius bar appointments and brought in my Mac Book Pro and my iPad mini. The "specialists" couldn't resolve the issue. I was also told at that time that the community was in-part experiencing problems backing up to iCloud. I am running the latest iOS version on all devices. The bar appointment ended with "we can't resolve this issue, and a robo call will be scheduled with an "iCloud senior analyst," who would manage/resolve the issue.

The senior analyst was unable to assist me in backing up to iCloud (I also can't backup the iPad mini to the computer - same error message with NO error code). I was told by the senior analyst that i could wiggle around the problem by re downloading Facebook and using the third party (Facebook) as a way to store content that hasn't been saved since the last successful backup 10-12 weeks ago. I didn't follow this advice.

I recently went to the Apple store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago to purchase a iPad mini as a Christmas gift. I told the person assisting me about the difficult i have been experiencing. Her response - "I haven't been able to back up to iCloud either."

I am so frustrated at this point that I haven't been able to backup my iPad to either iCloud or my Mac Book Pro. Any rebuttal would be appreciated.
