Q: I just received an iPhone 6s, before I had a 5. Do I set it up as a new phone or restore it from iCloud? I backed my phone up to iCloud this morning

If you want your stuff back - definitely restore from backup. If you already setup as new - all you need to do is wipe it by going to settings - general - reset,

and then erase content, two minutes later, just repeat setup process with restore from icloud backup.

You may need to setup phone as new first and then update to newest OS, then wipe it.

If the backup was done on 9.2 and your new phone is 9.1 - it needs to be updated first.

update and then wipe, but everything else is correct.

setup as new, update, wipe and restore during setup.
