iCloud is a service that allows you to redownload past purchases. As such, you cannot delete the record that they were purchased.
You can hide them:
I think you can do it by going into the appstore on your phone, select purchases and you should be able to delete it from there.

Ah. Well, I didn't want to redownload those purchases anyways. I have like over 900 apps right now and only want to keep 10% of them. 😉 Argh at that many purchases to go through. 😟
