Q: Ported old number to 5s but defaulting to new number in iMessages and Face time

When in iMessage send/receive settings the temp umber is greyed out with a tick next to it so there is no option to delete it. Even tho my old number is in bold and ticked it's still defaulting back and changing it in my number too....

Dec 25, 2015 1:27 PMby Janeh9208,No, no other device but my iPhone 4s now has the correct number ticked and greyed out on both iMessage and FaceTime where previously it was defaulting to the temp number so that looks to be correct. The 5s is trying to verify the correct number and has been for several minutes now on iMessage and FaceTime however the temp number is still greyed out and ticked but next to correct number it just says verifying .... Underneath 'start new conversations from' is still showing the temp number.....should I just sit it out and hope it verifies??

It would seem my iPad and 4s seem to be synched as they were previously with my old number but this new phone won't budge from the temp number. I'm turning it off for the night hoping tomorrow might be a better day!
