How to Connect DVD Player to Macbook Pro

I have a few DVDs from different regions that I would like to watch, but because of the "5 tries then your stuck in that region" that comes with the Mac's built in DVD player I fear watching them on my laptop (I don't want to watch my region3, and then never be able to watch my region1s). Knowing my problem a relative of mine got me a Region Free DVD player for Christmas. There is a slight problem. I have no idea how to connect the DVD player to my Macbook Pro. I looked around and found very little information that didn't involve hooking everything to a TV, but that's not an option for me since I don't have one.
Does anyone know how to go about doing this kind of task?

DVD Player is a Samsung DVD-E360 with USB port

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

The USB port on that device is an input port... not an output. According to the user guide (http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201202/20120201170941238/02218A_E36 0_ZA-0601.pdf), the USB port is for connecting:

  • USB devices that support USB Mass Storage v1.0. USB devices that operate as a removable disk in Windows (2000 or later) without additional driver installation.
  • MP3 Player: Flash type MP3 player.
  • Digital camera: Cameras that support USB Mass Storage v1.0.
  • Cameras that operate as a removable disk in Windows (2000 or later) without additional driver installation.
  • USB Flash Drive: Devices that support USB 2.0 or USB 1.1.
  • USB card Reader:

There is no way to use that DVD player to watch DVDs on your MacBook Pro. That DVD player needs to be connected to a TV or monitor with a component video or standard video input.
