Q: Importing iMessages to new iPod

Hello all,

I just got a new iPod Touch running iOS 8; I was wondering if there was a way I could transfer my messages that I have on my old iPod touch running iOS 6.1 to my new iPod. Would that be possible so that way I could just continue where I left off or no?

**I have also been looking into programs that have the capabilities to data transfer fro my old iPod to my new one, however, a lot of them are not free or are, but to a certain extent (trial versions). If anyone might know if a completely free program out there that might be able to do what I am hoping to do, I'd love to hear about it! : )

Great! Thank you. I guess I was a little skeptical at first because of how long the backup on my old iOS 6.1 iPod was going to be, but I decided to run it overnight and it finished early in the morning. Seems to be in working order on my new iPod Touch. Thanks!
