Q: iPad pro keeps coming on while connected to smart keyboard

While smart keyboard is connected to the iPad pro and not in use the screen will turn on and display the key code login then it turns off. Keeps doing this repeatedly while not in use. Can someone help me with this problem. Also when not connected to the smart keyboard its ok. It has something to do with being connected to the smart keyboard. I just got this keyboard yesterday. Help!

I Am having the same issue since I got the smart keyboard. I will have it folded up behind the iPad pro laying on the desk and the screen will light up asking for the login code. I also have the apple pencil.
