Dec 29, 2015 5:59 AM in response to David Willsby Lord Sumptuous,Thanks for the reply.
I am logging on to my ATV and iTunes with the same Apple ID, so I don't think that's the problem.

Dec 29, 2015 6:14 AM in response to Lord Sumptuousby Lord Sumptuous,I've just had a thought...
My MPB is connected by an ethernet cable to my router.
My ATV is connected wirelessly to an an access point which is in turn connected to my router with an ethernet cable.
So both devices are connected to the same router, but could the use of an access point be the problem?

Dec 29, 2015 7:57 AM in response to Lord Sumptuousby turingtest2,It may depend on how you've set up the access point. Your router should be acting as the DHCP server for all devices on your network if they are going to be able to communicate with each other properly.Does the Apple TV show up next to the volume slider in iTunes?

Feb 11, 2016 2:18 AM in response to Lord Sumptuousby turingtest2,I take it the problem hasn't gone away? Can you test with a direct connection to the network? At least you would then know if the access point is contributing to the problem.
