iPhoto quits everytime I open it – the information pane seems to be causing it

I have an iPhoto library for each year, and if I try to open one that has the information pane (Command-i) open already upon starting it immediately closes.

I've tried all the options of repairing permissions, rebuilding databases etc.

If I open another library that actually will open and then open the information pane, it crashes.

Is there a way to reinstall iPhoto? I see it's not in the app store any more.

Thanks

iPhoto '11, iOS 10.8.5

v9.4.3 on 10.8.5?

A lot of older versions of iPhoto 11 are having this right now:

Huxly647 figured out this fix

1. goto /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources

2. delete the files ' googlemap.html ' and googlesearch.html

Iphoto no longer crashes, places doesn't work but it doesn't bother me too much.

THANK YOU!!! I was going crazy trying to figure out why iPhoto was crashing all the time, i tried a few other solutions suggested on the threads I read here, nothing worked until I deleted those two files. iPhoto is working perfectly once again. I can live without places and I'm not ready to upgrade just yet. So thanks again for posting this info 🙂
