how do i merge my imessage

Question

how do i merge my imessage

I'm not sure what I did that made it so I can't text from my computer. I used to be able to use imessage from my mac to message people and it would show up as my phone number. Now it comes up as my email address.

Please associate your mobile number with your Apple ID, if you haven't already done so.

From the Messages menu bar, select

Messages ▹ Preferences... ▹ Accounts

and choose your phone number from the menu labeled
