Dec 26, 2015 9:25 AM in response to lawlistby Kappy,Common sense would suggest buying a Windows machine, not a Mac. Nevertheless, the most powerful desktop Mac would be the new Mac Pro, although the new iMacs are supposed to do pretty well. You can find benchmark comparisons at Bare Feats.

Dec 27, 2015 11:38 AM in response to lawlistby lawlist,It looks like the best option will be to customize an older Mac Pro tower (e.g., 2009 to 2012) with the latest GPU -- e.g., GTX 980 Ti that has been flashed to work better with the Mac Pro when booting. Nehalem 2.93 Xeon Quad Core should be sufficient for current games.

Dec 29, 2015 7:26 AM in response to lawlistby Christian Stueben,I myself have a mac pro 2010 / 5.1 with a gtx 980 ti from http://www.macvidcards.com/ . Under bootcamp (win 7 and win 10) i installed the video card driver from nvidia. Works perfect, full support for the video card. Even the new star wars battlefront only uses a fraction of the video card power, so there is a lot of reserve for future games.
But keep im mind ... a macbook or imac uses much less electric power.
