Allow 2 hours. Update everything. Don’t go to a store and expect it to be set up there. backup everything. If you need an update allow 3 hours. It is not a fast process. Add another 30 minutes if you need cellular. If you don’t know your passwords allow 4 hours.

It should not take too long to pair the watch. Perhaps allow an hour or so to pair and sync your watch and to explore and configure some of the settings to your preferences.
Battery charge will vary depending on how long the watch has been stored before purchase. Ensure that your watch is charged before pairing it. This will not take long. Even a full charge from a very low battery level will only take up to around 2.5 hours.
