Q: Wifi issues and failure to game sync with gamecenter

I just received  a new gen 4 ATV and immediately plugged it in , powered up ready to use and i'm wondering 2 things .

Firstly why doesn't the game center sync my scores onto a matching game I downloaded onto the ATV (Jetpack joyride) and secondly, after a firmware update , my wifi connection is completely unstable despite the wifi router being just meters away  from the device?

Anyone here got a solution?

    Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.

     

    You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.

     

    Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.

     

    There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

    I have the same issue with Game Center and Jetpack Joyride. It logs into Game Center just fine - but none of my scores and in-game purchases appear. I'm back to beginner's level, which is a bit of a drag. I wonder if anyone has a fix for this?
