Q: Apple Pay Issue - Card Not Added

Hi there,

 

I've been trying to add my Halifax card to my iPhone 6's Apple Pay since I restored my settings a couple of weeks ago.

I have tried a hard and soft reboot, as well as reset my settings on the handset.  No luck!


I cannot restore and use a backup from iCloud, as I now use a new Apple ID.

 

Since removing my passcode from my Apple Watch this afternoon and then re-enabling it, I am also unable to add my card back onto that also.

 

As many people have had the same issue, even after Apple had rolled out a under-the-hood fix, I can assume that the issue is not with my card holder and is in fact not properly fixed as of yet.

 

 

I would like to make other users aware that they are not the only ones having issues and hopefully, there will be a long term fix soon.

    Anytime you change the Apple ID on a device, it deletes all the content associated with the original Apple ID. That includes all your Apple Pay criteria.

     

     

     

     

    You need to contact Apple directly so you can add your Halifax card again.

    Hi Carolyn,

     

    I'm afraid that this is not the case, as my Halifax card would not add back to my Apple Pay with my previous Apple ID, after restoring the device. I then created another Apple ID with my new e-mail address and still cannot add the card.

     

    Since my previous comment, I have been able to add my card back to my Apple Watch, after leaving it off over night, however this doesn't have the same effect on my iPhone.   I also tried to add my card to my iPad, which uses my new ID and that also seemed to work fine.
