Q: Sometimes desktop screen shifted up after login - top bar menu not visible
Hey, guys:
I am just curious to see if this happens to any of you, because it's really weird. It doesn't happen often (once or twice a month), but it happened today which prompted me to write this post. It doesn't happen often enough to be bothered by it.
Below you can find the specs of my MBP and I also use a Thunderbolt display. It happened when I used the Thunderbolt display as well as when I used the laptop alone.
So, sometimes, just after I log in the desktop screens appear to be shifted up, and the menubar is not visible. It is there because if I press CTRL+ F2 and press Enter the system popup menu shows up (it is cut off). I have the dock set to be on the right side of the screen and it is collapsible, i.e. it stays hidden all the time and becomes visible when I hover the mouse on the right edge of the screen. When this happens I restart the system and it gets its brains back.
Any idea? Does it happen to any of you too?
