I am in Sri Lanka on holiday using wifi. Facebook and Twitter are barely loading new posts in my timeline/newsfeed. I will get one or two new posts. Then the rest of the posts displayed will be hours/days old. My wife who is using Android is not having this problem on the same wifi networks. Is there a way of deleting all this cached data so just new posts appear in my timelines?

I understand that some social media applications on your iPhone will not refresh in a timely manner. Let's start with forcing the two applications to close and restart the device. Once this is done test to see if they refresh to show more current information. If the issue persist, try all remaining steps in the article below. You will only need to skip the step that recommends installing a new application.
