How do I download the Apple News app for my iPad? I have it on my iPhone, but cannot find it on the iPad. I have used Spotlight and it just is not there.

I had a similar problem. Turns out that I used the Settings> General> Language and Region to change to Italy just to see another date in my calendar. Didn't turn it back to Australia. That immediately deleted my NEWS icon from my iPad.

Went back in and changed back to Australia and Violâ - all back again

If you have iOS 9.2 on iPad, check your restriction settings and turn it ON.
Settings > General > Restrictions > News: ON
Thanks for the quick reply. My restrictions are not enabled, so this should not be a factor, correct?
See if News is ON (green), is it?
If it's not green, you need to enable Restrictions to make changes, you can then disable Restrictions after you're done.
News doesn't even show up in the Restrictions section - or anywhere else for that matter. I did enable and then disable, but no change.
Which iOS version do you have on iPad?

The iPad is running 9.2 and I am located in Germany, but have access to the Apple Store here and in the USA.
You need to change your region to U.S.

I accidentally deleted the news app! and found the article about using search usefu but I had restricted access to news in restriction. Try resetting home screen , that's Settings, General then Reset, reset home screen. If that doesn't wor, try turning your IPad or iPhone off and then back on and it reappeare!
