Q: How can in import an audio cd into iTunes on my new Mac mini using the SuperDrive in my old MacBook ? I have turned file sharing on
I Have a new audio cd and I'm trying to use the SuperDrive in my 2009 MacBook (running Yosemite ) to import it into my current itunes library on my 2014 Mac mini ( running El Capiten). I've turned file sharing on and when I click on remote disc in my Mac mini finder it lists my MacBook and I can see the cd but it will not import into iTunes .
is it possible? If so how?
thanks SteveKJ

What kink of audio CD?
A commercial CD?
This
Use the CD or DVD drive from another computer with your Mac - Apple Support
includes:
Incompatible discs
DVD or CD sharing isn't designed for some kinds of optical media. Connect a compatible optical drive directly to your Mac if you need to use one of these discs:
- Audio CDs
- Blu-ray or DVD movies
- Copy protected discs (such as some game discs)
- Recordable CDs or DVDs that you want to burn or erase
- Microsoft Windows installation discs
