Kingston Hyperx Savage SSD - Macbook Pro early 2011 Compatibility Issue

I have bought Kingston Hyperx Savage 480 GB SSD intending to install it in my Macbook Pro early 2011. but my Mac Is unable to recognise the SSD when i connect it through the USB. The strange part that when i restarts the Mac keeping the SSD attached to it, it got recognised. And i can copy and paste normally. in case if i removed it and reconnect it, it is appears as unrecognised. is there is a solution for this or should i change the SSD?

Forget about Trim, do not install that. See a lot of other threads here. The heavy warning by Apple when using trimforce is not for nothing. If you installed TrimEnabler or Sensei, uninstall it (not easy) completely.

The SSD you have has a very good controller with a very good Garbage Collection. In these modern SSDs Trim can not add anything, but may cause trouble that is not easy to detect.

PS, now you have the SSD formatted, can you see it in your MBP?, can you see now the Partition Tab?.

If you see it formatted with GUID Partition table, OS X Extended (journaled), you can go ahead and clone your existing to it, then swap.

I found no way to make it work with the USB. so i just implement it internally and connected it through the SATA cable and it worked. actually that was my main aim to have it replaced with the original HDD. it took me more effort just rather than clone the HDD into the SSD. so i backed up my data in different external HDD and installed a clean OS X using a DVD i have. Now every thing is fine except that i intended to use the original HDD as external. it worked for the first two days but not after that any more, as it been not powering up on my mac but it works with other!!
