Can a stylus be used on the touch pad of a macbook pro instead of your fingertip?
My daughter could not use her new graphics tablet....yet, but, is there a stylus she can use instead of her finger? TIA!

Not that I am aware of. Try an Internet search.
Ciao.
Thanks! Im still looking 🙂
Apparently... yes. I have a cheap pen with a rubber stylus on one end and the stylus can be used to control the position of the cursor.
I just tried a regular phone stylus on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro, and while I was able to move the cursor around with it to draw in Photoshop I needed to keep a finger on the trackpad or keep the stylus pressed down. I was not able to get the "sketched" look I can with my tablet. The workspace is also much smaller.
OK, when you say trackpad, you keen just the surface on the MacBook or the actual trackpad you buy and connect? She is only 13 so I'm not trying to get too fancy. I'm going to try an external disk drive to see if I can load her graphics tablet to this as well. Just wanted something in the meantime.
I tried it on the built in trackpad. I also found a program called Inklet, but know nothing about it. https://tenonedesign.com/inklet.php
You could also get a cheap stylus and see if changing any of the settings in system prefrences helps.
