Q: finder.app document - Can I delete?

Hi, I mistakenly used an app to clean up my mac and then learned I shouldn't be using them so deleted the app -that was last week and I forgot which app I used. Anyway, one of the files set to delete won't delete and says it's in use:  It's a finder.app document about 2 gigs.  The name of the file is all jumbly, like this:  502b87e9ea319108...etc.  It was last modified January 24, 1984.  Can I delete it?  If so, how?  I've been looking everywhere on how to do this, but can't seem to get much by searching "finder.app document".  Also, this is my first time posting in a discussion - not sure if I'm doing this right for a question?  I had a hard time figuring out which forum to go to for this question.  Thank you!

    Finder.app does not have documents.

Depending on what got downloaded, this could be anything from a simple file corruption to a volume corruption, to a tool that stole all of your data and all of your passwords and all of your contact information.

Get a complete and current backup of your environment, to an external storage device.   Preserve your data.

Boot your Mac through Safe Mode, then reboot normally, and try cleaning the trash again.

If that fails, then reinstall from your last good backup.

If you don't have any backups, then — with your current external backup created that was created just now — download and build an installer kit on USB and reinstall OS X — that should preserve whatever is currently on your disk.  Don't wipe the disk.  But have a backup, as — depending on whatever has happened here — that's your next step.
