When do I pull the plug and start over? I don't remember a migration ever taking this long. I'm transferring data via a cable vs over the air. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for writing, Paul. The old one has the same screen that data is transferring to the new MacBook. The new one also has the same screen from 24 hours ago, "starting up." Do I hit "cancel" on the new one and try again?

Linc - bravo! Tech support has indicated that I needed to have the old beast in "target set up disc" mode for the migration to work. Both computers are busy thinking about cooperating. Looks good so far. Fingers crossed. Thanks!
