ipod nano not seen by itunes NOR windows 10 what do I do?

My new computer runs windows 10, ITunes is installed but it does not see my ipod nano 8GB. In hardware the icon of my ipod flutters & chimes endlessly but in the end is not recognized. My poor ipod nano thinks it is seen &^ says it but can't communicate. What do I do? I tried a reinstall with security off, it did not help. Please send me a link to a how to page.
