Dec 27, 2015 4:17 PM in response to FarmerJohn204by VikingOSX,A couple of choices in order:
- Purchase ($28USD) the retail iWork '09 DVD from Amazon, and follow that installation with the DVD-only Apple iWork 9.3 updater to have the latest iWork '09 versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. The current Pages, Numbers, and Keynote applications cannot open respective AppleWorks documents.
- Each of these applications can respectively open (read-only) AppleWorks v6 word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation documents. No data management. The degree of AppleWorks document access will depend on the complexity of that content.
- LibreOffice v5.0.4+ is free, and an Office replacement for MS Office for Mac, or MS Office on Windows.
- Opens (read-only) ClarisWorks/AppleWorks v5 & v6 word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, (possibly drawings), and has a built-in database.
- AppleWorks database content will open in a spreadsheet without graphics, formulas, etc.
- OS X Yosemite has the sqlite3 database available through the Terminal application.
- Opens (read-only) ClarisWorks/AppleWorks v5 & v6 word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, (possibly drawings), and has a built-in database.
