23" Cinema Display - Reattach Stand

Hey!

When I first got my 23" Display I took off the Apple stand for a VESA mount I installed for a boom arm.

I've since removed the VESA mount and want to go back to the Apple Stand that came with the display.

I got the screws that came with the display (at least I think they are the correct ones) and they both won't screw in all the way. See the attached photo.

Am I doing something wrong? Or did I find the wrong screws?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
