I have a problem with my iPhone 5s. I know how to reset it using iTunes, but my current problem is the recovering. There is a pop-up that says I need to enter in my passcode but I forgot my passcode. Can someone help me? I have followed tutorials on YouTube but I haven't resolved my problem.

Yikes.. from what I understand, not even apple can break into a passcoded phone. However, if you happen to live near an apple store they might be able to override it and reset it somehow.
I have called Apple Support & they guided me through the process. Sadly, it didn't work. I'll check with my parents to see if they can drive me to the Apple Store tomorrow so I can reset it. Thank you for the suggestion.
Hi Chutari; These are the steps;
1- Turn off your device
2- Download iTunes to your pc
3- Push home button of iPhone and Connect with lightning between iPhone and pc don't take your finger on your iPhone
4- Your iPhone now in iTunes mode
5- Select turn back to factory settings on iTunes
6- Its ok when your device start again you can insert your iCloud ıd and password if you don't know this please contact with your invoice to Apple Support
Hello my name is Starkema, I have an iphone5s and i am experiencing the samething you posted. How can i reset my iphone if you know how? I tried the steps i saw someone had posted to reset then i put it down for a moment and it just turned on briefly then shut right back down. I lost my wall charge adapter so i have been charging it on my laptop. It has been like this for a week now around the time i opened an Itune account. Don't know if that have anything to do with it. Please help i'm lost without my phone.

Hello KiltedTim, the passcode is not the issue. I think it needs to be reset. I've only had it for 6 months. My version is IOS 9.2.
If the passcode is not the issue then you do NOT have the same problem as the OP. Start your own thread and try actually describing your problem instead of tagging onto one that has nothing to do with your issue.
what did you do to get to the part of asking you for the passcode? I have ITunes but don't know how to connect through it. Can you take me through the steps of resetting through ITunes?

Please take the time to read the support document in the link provided by KiltedTim. It provides you all of the step by step instructions on how to deal with the issue. You need to put the device into Recovery Mode and restore it.
How can i do recovery mode. I can hardly get it to turn on or stay on long enough.
If you have read through the support document provided, it tells you to use Recovery Mode, and provides a link that takes you to a different part of the document that explains Recovery Mode.
If you've actually read the document and followed the instructions for how to put it into recovery mode, but you physically can't do that, then you have a hardware problem. Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store or take it to your local Authorized Apple Service Provider.
