Q: How do I change deafult phone number in FaceTime

Please assist me with changing my FaceTime number. I cahnged service provider and have a new no. I cannot find out where or how to do this?

It is continually waiting for activation.

This affects the ability to make calls from my iMac as well.

Thanks, I have done everything on the link you sent and it doesnt remove my old phone number from my iPhone in the facetiem settings window

Hi Reef,

Please complete the following steps to update your number on iMessage and Facetime.

Goto Settings>Messages and turn off iMessage.
Goto Settings>Facetime and turn off Facetime.

Once you have done that, turn off you iDevice and wait for 30 seconds to one minute. Power on the device. Go back to Settings.

Goto Settings>Message and turn on iMessage.
Goto Settings>Facetime and turn on Facetime.

Your number should now be updated.

Thanks Ive tried all the steps. Even tried with sim card removed and its still the same.
I read somewhere that i should reset my phone. Do you thionk that may fix the issue?
