My iPhone 6 has an unresponsive touch screen at times. It's only a year old! Help!

There are sporatic dead spots on my touch screen. How do I fix this? Been to the Apple Store twice but they are too busy(even with several employee walking around) to help and appointments with them are a week out! I have an iPhone 6 and it's only been a year. Never had any issues with any of my other Apple products. I've done all updates and restarts, etc. Now I know how android people feel when their phones crap out. Trying to type this has been miserable Please help!!

Hi there Appawav,

It sounds like there are sections of your screen that don't seem to be responding to touch. I would suggest using the troubleshooting info from the following article about that kind of issue:

  1. If you have a case or screen protector on your device, try removing it.
  2. Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
  3. Unplug your device.
  4. Restart your device. If you can't restart it, you can force restart your device.

If your touchscreen still doesn't respond like it should, contact Apple Support or take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.

If none of the 4 steps there resolve the issue then you will need to have your phone serviced. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, all the best!

I have tried these as they are the first steps to a resolution when I googled my problem. None are helpful and to be honest, I had assumed I'd get a more intricate response from an "Apple Support" page. The Apple stores are most unhelpful as they seem to only want to help those that are there to buy and spend money. i am just shocked that this phone has only lasted me a year and a couple months! every iPhone I've had before has acted flawlessly. Even my 3 kids have iPhones and there are no issues. My iPods and iPad are great. Unfortunately, my phone is used for my business as well as my personal use. I had thought it would be able to support my lifestyle as the others have, but I'm at a loss. I've even sent Apple emails. No help. Anyone have other ideas? Please?!?
