Thank you for the question. It sounds like you are unable to sync music as iTunes is experiencing an issue with a prior backup. Since you were able to setup the device originally without issue, let's erase the device and set this up as new. Once this done sync all of your data again as you did prior.

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes using USB
After this has bene completed, you can edit the default world clocks by selecting edit and either add or delete.
