Yamaha ypg 535 to iPad Air 2

I just got a Yamaha digital piano, ypg-535 and want to use an app on my iPad Air 2 for lessons. Can I connect my ypg-535 to my iPad Air 2? I don't see a midi terminal anywhere, but it has a host to USB port and a USB port. what cords or ports or connecting devices should I be using and do I need to download a driver? Thanks.
