Q: Magic keyboard on windows 10 (non-Apple laptop)

Hi,

I use different laptops at work and I would like to use one keyboard and mouse to control them. I'm wondering if it's possible to use Apple Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2 on a non-Apple laptop with Windows 10? If so, what should be done to have Fn key and at least scrolling working there? By default, devices are visible as HID compliant mouse and keyboard in device manager (with old driver from 2006). Under Bluetooth node they are shown as Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2 but also the same old generic driver is assigned. Any help will be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Tomasz

    Hi,

The short answer is, no, because you'll find more frustration trying to get an Apple keyboard functional on a non-Apple PC. Mouse - yes. Keyboard - No. Just note that a PC's Bluetooth may ask for a PIN Number in Windows to connect. Apple devices are designed to do this automaticlly with there Macs and do not provide that info.

    Cheers!!
