Dec 30, 2015 1:51 AM in response to ron8by Kenichi Watanabe,On my 4th gen iPod (same "gen" as your iPod except monochrome screen), there are instructions in the Contacts "Extras" feature. The relevant part says
"To store contacts manually, open Address Book, Microsoft Entourage, or Palm Desktop and export contacts as vCards. Enable your iPod for disk use. Then drag the vCards into Contacts folder on iPod. For detailed instructions, see iPod User's Guide."
I checked the current version of Contacts on my Mac, and it has a File -> Export -> Export vCard command. I just tried it, and it looks like each "vCard" file is one contact. I haven't used this function on any "traditional" iPod, but maybe your iPod has more than one vCard file in its Contacts folder for some contacts.
