Attachment Tamer — Still, no alternative?...

Upgrading from Mountain Lion to Yosemite, I still can't find a solution. Since I like to choose which file I want embedded (inline), like my logo above my email signature, and which file attached, Attachment Tamer was working BEAUTIFULLY with ML. But Yosemite is lacking, the developer of Attachment Tamer is not showing any intention to update to any newer OSX.

Anti Inline is not solving it, and the other plug in called Universal Mailer is forcing me to have all, or inline, or attached, yet I want to choose, within the same email, which file would be embedded, which would be attached....

I also tried placing Eric Roots command in Terminal, but all it showed was my images distorted (I didn’t check beyond that)….

…So, anybody with any solution?

There is an alternative, but its 15€ for a license!

Yes, I tested it, not what Attachment Tamer is doing, it won't let you choose what to embed and what to attach.

...Unless I didn't spend enough time with it... Please, correct me if I'm wrong!

I'd LOVE to have a plug-in for Mail to update or replace Attachment Tamer, It would relieve me from the AGONY of finding a replacement for Apple's Mail.

It is a bit archaic but serves the purpose however you can from the command line enable and disable:

Copy & Paste this command in the terminal:

defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes

Press enter.

That’s it. If you’d like to return it to the default configuration, just paste this next line into a terminal:

defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool no

might require a relaunch of the mail app.

Thanks, eroydouglas, but from what I've already read about it, this will change the behavior of Mail universally, one way OR the other, and won't let me, again CHOOSE, what I want embedded and what I want attached...

Understood. Join the crowd. You are correct enabled/disabled.

The terminal is simply an alternative too spending " 15€ for a license CG's Anti Inline"

So after some research I purchased Postbox, a $15 product. It works well as far as embed/inline vs. attach files. It's an OK program, some things could (and hope would) be better, but I can live with them.
