Q: Restore free iLife and iWork

iLife shipped with that MacBook Pro but iWork was not included. You should have received a disk with your MacBook Pro which had the iLife apps. If you had iWork, you must have purchased the disk.

Typically if you logged into the App Store after these apps were orginally installed, the App Store will "Appropriate" them to your App Store Account for free and allow you to install/update the apps and install/update on up to 4 other Macs.

You can call 1-800-676-2775 (maybe 1-800-MYAPPLE, I have both on the sticky note), give them (not us in the open forum) th system serial number, pay $20 processing/handling to get new copies of the original install disks.  Does not hurt to have them in a pinch, like now.

MAS store licensing applies to iTunes music/books/movies/etc purchases; apps and OS purchases are also subject to the individual software licensing agreements as mentioned in the iTunes ToU. There is no "practical" limitation - the SLA's are quite specific. You can find the SLA's here:

iLife and iWork could only be installed on one computer as mentioned here which was standard for any OS or application that came with install media:

The new download only versions have different terms altogether: you may install them on as many Macs as you own and control; see example for Pages here:
