Not likely.
Find a third party repair facility and ask them.
Apple does not repair iPhones, they replace them.
Have you not been importing your photos to your computer?
Wait a minute. Let me see if I understand this. You broke a device in May, and now 7 months later you are asking how to get photos off of it?

Chris, Chris, Chris..... This still surprises you? 😉
I know, how silly of me! 😕
No I haven't but my photos are important to me how will I get it fixed
You broke it so you'll have to pay to replace it. And now that it's broken and has been dead for 7 months, your photos are gone, poof. Unless you made a backup of them before you smashed it, they are gone. Replacing the device now is not going to magically recover the photos on the device you smashed.

If your photos are that important to you, back up your phone before the next time you have a tantrum and throw it at something.
TThere's a shop near me called Lebara mobile do you think they could fix my iPhone 5 because they said it would cost £40 to get it fixed
I have no idea. I don't use 3rd party shops for any of my apple products - I take them to Apple or an Apple Authorized service provider.
its also impossible for anyone to diagnose the full state of the damage without having the device in their hands and knowing the technology.
Apple would offer you an out of warranty replacement, which would be a like new factory refurbished device and would have a 90 day warranty. If you take it to a 3rd party place it's a case of pay your money and take your chances. Note that no 3rd party shop can purchase original, OEM new parts as they are only available to Apple and their authorized repair centers. So 3rd party shops are using salvage parts or cheap counterfeit parts.
