Q: application crash on startup

My apple tv is set to the default of updating application automatically and after a reset batch update, several application crash on startup (or fail to launch). The applications being Asphalt 8, Rayman, and Oceanhorn. I have restarted the apple tv but that did not correct the problem. Any ideas on how to debug or troubleshoot this problem?

I'd be inclined to stop trying to use these applications until the developer has fixed them.

You could try removing one of the apps in question completely, then redownload it.

I did not want to do that because I would lose all game progress.
HOwever I gave in and deleted Rayman and reinstalled. This did not
fix the problem. Is there any thing else to try or is factory reset the only option?
