Create shortcut to photo album on home screen?

I Work in special Ed. and want to quickly access a photo album I created to help autistic students navigate around the school. Is there a way to put a shortcut to the album on the home screen? Thank you.

Hi Frau_Blucher,

One way of doing this is using the Workflow App to set up a workflow:

  1. In the Photos App create a photo album called "School Map"
  2. In the Workflow App create a new Workflow with two actions (see first screenshot below):
    • Find Photos Where Album is "School Map"
    • Quick Look
  3. Tap the cog icon (see first screenshot) to go into the settings window (second screenshot below):
  4. Give it a sensible name (e.g. School Map). This will show up on your home screen so don't make it too long
  5. Choose an icon and colour (e.g. the map pin icon) that will make sense to you
  6. Tap "Add to Home Screen" and follow the instructions to add it to your home screen

When you tap the icon it will briefly launch Safari which will then launch your Workflow, giving you a slideshow of whatever is in that album.

There's lots more you can with Workflow but hopefully this helps with your specific question and makes it easier for you to help people navigate around the school!

Matt
