Question

Is there an iWatch app available for iPad or iMac?

Received an iWatch for Christmas and wondered if there was an iWatch app compatible or available for iMac? Learning tricks for new device isn't as easy as it used to be!

First, it's called an "Apple Watch", not an iWatch.

There is no Apple Watch app for Mac. After all, the Apple Watch requires an iPhone (iPhone 5 or later running iOS 9 or later) in order to pair.

Hi Julie

1. The watch icon will appear from time to time in your Dock due to Handoff.

If you click on the icon, you can continue what you have started to do on your Apple Watch on your Mac instead.

For example, if you are viewing a conversation in Messages on your watch, the Messages icon will appear on the left hand side of your Dock with a watch icon. Click on this to compose a new reply to that contact on your Mac instead of on your watch.

2. There is presently no web-based dashboard for Apple Watch health and fitness apps. If you would like to suggest that Apple considers adding this as a new feature, you can do so here:

Sorry. It looked like iWatch on the box - APPLE WATCH. The reason I'm asking my silly question is:

1. I've noticed when I'm on my Mac and wearing my Watch at the same time, a Watch icon briefly appears in my dock. I've also read that you can use the watch as a remote for iTunes on a Mac (like you can with an iPad or iPhone) but can't get my bluetooth to find my Watch.

2. My husband bought me the Watch to replace my FitBit Charge -- with FitBit I liked I could view my dashboard on my iPhone or iMac. I also like when I physically connect my iPhone to my iMac I can move my iPhone apps around and make changes on a much larger screen.

3. I've searched support, but didn't see anything -- usually whatever content is there is VERY high level and I have to find some sort of answer in Communities. It seems the longer I have Apple products (10-15yrs), the less intuitive the new ones become, and the harder it is to find a definitive answer.
