Video and audio out of sync via HDMI

IM on the latest version of El Capitan and when I play my 4k res mp4 video from my 2015 15" retina MacBook Pro via HDMI to my 4K tv the audio is slightly out of sync. Is there a way to correct this? I've checked all the settings on my TV and nothing corrects this. When I'm viewing my video on my laptop, video and audio are perfectly in sync but when I hook up my TV via hdmi its out of sync. I do video production and my MacBook Pro is fully maxed out. It's literally the most powerful MacBook pro that Apple sells so there is no issues with power and performance. Does anyone have a solution?

Fixed a video sync & lag issue on my Toshiba, nothing to do with the Hz of the display in my case its due to how the TV interprets different sources of data.

One thing you might try is to see if the TV has different "presets." We had this issue and setting it to "Game Mode," and adjusting the hertz to 29 instead of 60 (the default) fixed the delay!

I will give it try. But the hdmi port on the MacBook Pro maxes out at 30hertz for 4k resolution. I can change it to 25 so I will try that and see if it works. 1080 resolution can go to 60 hertz but not 4K.
