Brand new to iPad. I created my ID and got started. Updated the iOS first thing when it asked. After that, the settings menu changed and it doesn't have the ">" in the boxes anymore. Facetime and iMessage will not activate.

I'm brand new to Apple. I bought an iPad mini to use on the job. After creating my ID and getting started, it asked to update. No problem updating that I saw. However, the settings menu has changed. The ">" are no longer available in the boxes. I discovered this because FaceTime and iMessage will not activate and searching for an answer I found that I do not have the full menu in settings to turn them on/off or anything. Tapping it only gives me a login shot and neither will activate.

Hey bdavsbr89,
I understand that you are having some activation issues with FaceTime and iMessage. Let's go over some troubleshooting options to get it sorted out.
I would first start with making sure that your iPad's Date & Time is set correctly. You can follow that up with a restart of your iPad. If it has not activated within 24 hours, then you will want to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime
