After app is on watch...can I delete from iPhone

I downloaded apps for my watch. Installed correctly. I really do not need the parent app on my phone. Is it necessary to keep those on the iPhone or can I delete them but they remain on my watch?

Thanks.

Hi Matthew

Keep the apps on your iPhone.

If you do not wish to use them on your iPhone, either:

- Tidy them away in a new folder (drag one app icon on top of another to create a new folder, which be renamed to whatever you like - eg "Watch apps"), or;

- Add them to a new Home screen (drag an app to the right-hand edge of the last Home screen).

Apps are often updated over time, potentially including with bug fixes and new features. For updates to be synced to your watch, the app update must first be installed to your iPhone.

To fully update the installation of compatible apps to your watch, you may wish to enable Automatic App Install:

- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > App Install > turn on Automatic App Install.
