Q: OS X 10.11.2 will not update

I am trying to update to OS X 10.11.2 (iMac, late 2009 model).  When I clcik on update, it then asks me to restart the computer.  I do this, and then it says "Available Updates Have Changed."  It is a constant loop.  Any suggestions on how to fix and also to install the update?  Thank you.

I am pretty sure you have to be at 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) before you can upgrade to El Capitan.  Upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

I have already upgraded to El Capitan.  Currently, at 10.11.1.  App store says I have an update available (10.11.2), but as I explained above it will not.

Sorry, I was seeing the bottom line where you stated Mac OS X (10.4.4).  There have been a couple of recent postings below about deleting certain folders and starting over again.  If I get a chance later, I will try to find them for you, but they have been within the last two days.

Try this, which I found on a quick search. Will continue as I find time.

Boot into Recovery (command R) and run the DiskUtility First Aid.

Reboot into Safe Boot Mode (holding the shift key on boot)

Install the combo from this environment
